Muslala, established in 2009 by artists, residents and community activists of the Musrara neighborhood in Jerusalem curates art exhibitions, offers urban “art-tracks" guided tours, workshops, a meeting and study center, an exhibition space and community garden. Muslala, is developing a program with a city center base to expand the reach of its artistic activity.

Studio of Her Own is a network of visual artists initiated and managed by and for religious women that aim to empower themselves as they pursue a professional art career. Activities such as creating exhibition opportunities, professional development coaching and peer review serve to bridge art study and practical support to assist each individual artist to establish herself as an accomplished professional.

Black Box is an independent initiative showcasing contemporary art in public space by transforming billboards into installations of visual art in place of commercial advertising. For ten days each year, dozens of municipal billboards support works of art and engage viewers and artists in a new relationship encountering art in a non-traditional setting.

Jerusalem Dance Theatre

Flamenca Studio

A community project aimed at enriching student and audience appreciation for the arts-music, dance and stories-of Flamenco. As both an oriental and occidental art form, the development of the Flamenco dance reflects interactions between the three major religious cultures – Judaism, Christianity and Islam and as such, a special place is reserved for Flamenco dance in the city of Jerusalem.

Maayan Liebman-Sharon
The initiative is aimed at creating a professional space for those who view dance as an integral part of their lives. Establishing a center to explore body and movement open to people of all backgrounds, experienced and inexperienced in dance, provides the opportunity to develop physical skills and expressive abilities and create new appreciating dance audiences.

Angela Dance Company

Founded by Miriam Engel, the contemporary dance ensemble connects performing artists and audience through physical and theatrical communication. Angela explores both personal and universal themes, finding inspiration in Jerusalem’s multicultural and complex intellectual and artistic environment.

Balagina

Balagina’s performance work offers the possibility to connect with Jewish culture by reclaiming Jewish narratives through theater and humor, inspired by history, ancient literature and the land of Israel.  

Theo-tron Group

Founding the Theo-tron group was inspired by the vision of the late Rabbi Menachem Fruman to promote creative theater work across Israel’s different cultures and social sectors. The theater operates in the spirit of easing conflict through art with the intention of stimulating dialogue and understanding.

Internal Compass

The Internal Compass Leadership Program encourages outstanding young musicians to become ambassadors of music in the community. Combining our goals of leadership and excellence we recruit promising musicians from diverse backgrounds and guide them through their musical training to achieve the social benefit of enhancing appreciation of Jazz in communities who may not be otherwise familiar with this modern musical art form.
